A good convo

I feel bad my aunt Alyson can't comment on our blog, for one because she actually does comment and because she is full of useful information like this:
Alyson Thompson Lee Gosh, I should go look it up. But I'm almost 90% certain that John Hughes made Some Kind of Wonderful because of the audience response he got to Pretty in Pink. They are, as you noted, essentially the same movie with different endings. But Wikipedia didn't specifically say that so you'll just have to take my word for it. ;)

I was just thinking about how similar they were and I felt I wanted to share. I love them both, so if John Hughes did Some Kind of Wonderful because Pretty in Pink was such a hit, I full support that.

Actually, it's because everyone complained in PiP because Andie ended up with Blaine and not Duckie. So he made essentially the same movie where she (which is actually he, Keith) ends up with Duckie (Watts) instead of Blaine (Amanda).

This is great, I did not know this. Because like I said, I want Andie to end up with Duckie, everytime. But now that we have both stories I wouldn't change Pretty in Pink. I don't think. Hmmm..... We wouldn't have Some Kind of Wonderful if it ended that way so yeah. I am so glad you shared this.
